Located in Klamath County, Oregon, Klamath Falls is home to many outdoor summer and winter activities as well as many different museums, lakes, and parks, such as Crater Lake National Park. Crater Lake National Park the only national park in Oregon, and is home to the deepest lake in the United States that is listed at 1,943ft at its deepest point. The lake was formed by the volcano, Mount Mazama, about over 7,000 years ago. The park officially opened up in 1902, making it the oldest national park in the United States. If you want to get a closer look at Crater Lake for yourself, then you can hop onto the Crater Lake Trolley and watch in awe at your surroundings as it takes you on a 2-hour trip around the rim of Crater Lake.

Other things that you can explore in Klamath falls are the Favell Museum, where you are able to see all different kinds of Native American artifacts along with Western art, Moore Park, where you can sit by the lakeside and either play soccer, have a picnic, or rent a boat and go out on the lake, or you can visit Putnams Point and be able to sit in the brushlands and see all the different types of seabirds that land in the area.

About the Northern Klamath County Loop
